Church Ledger makes it easy to track who is attending your services. High-quality attendance data helps you identify growth trends and reach out to members who may be drifting away.
Tracking attendance isn't just about counting heads; it's about identifying souls who need care.
Navigate to the Attendance page. Click Create Event. Choose your service type (e.g., "Sunday Morning", "Mid-week Prayer") and date.
During or after the service, use the search bar to find members.
After the event, check the Engagement Report. Look for "Missing in Action" members who have missed more than 3 consecutive services.
Engagement reports transform numbers into actionable ministry:
For larger churches, you can enable QR Check-ins. This allows members to scan their digital ID at the entrance, automatically marking them as present and reducing lines at the welcome desk.
Attendance vs Membership: Marking someone as present in attendance does not automatically make them a member. This distinction allows you to track engagement for visitors before they commit to full membership.
Ministry Tip: Assign a specific "Engagement Deacon" to review the MIA report every Tuesday morning and assign follow-up tasks to the relevant cell group leaders.
